What is Medicare and who qualifies for it?

Medicare is the nation's largest health insurance program. It insures nearly 40 million Americans. Medicare is for people age 65 or older, some disabled people who are under the age of 65, and people of all ages who have permanent kidney failure treated with dialysis or a transplant.
